Solo travel can be a liberating thing – it’s like your time to self-discovery, but there is nothing like seeing the most beautiful locations of the world with your significant other. And, even though there might be certain things that don’t go according to the plan, you will always find ways of making each other laugh, keeping each other sane in the insanity, and building an even stronger bond. 1.      Barcelona – When I first hear Barcelona I think of Barcelona – the club and then Messi, but that is not all because of the city Barcelona. You cannot walk around it without perceiving it.” Highlights of the city include the Picasso Museum, the Joan Miró Foundation and the National Museum of Catalan Art, housed in a beautiful palace constructed for the 1920’s World Exhibition. This well architectured city is among the most romantic destinations because of its beautiful beaches too – so get some wine and let the breeze flow through your hair.

2.      Miami: Among all the quotes I’ve read about Miami the one that pitches my spirit to travel to the location is - "Miami Beach is where neon goes to die." by Lenny Bruce. The beautiful city is well known not only for its beaches and party scenes but also the insane neon lights that make the visitors swoon over them. For couples visiting the destination first time, it’s a perfect idea to take a walk along the pedestrian promenade at Lincoln Road, and it’s only better together. Walk along this iconic South Beach street and then just walk into a bookstore for some nice read time. Stop for a beer or cocktail, or just a lemonade or iced tea to cool off – because romance could happen over coffee, beer, lemonade or even books. 

3.      New York – ‘New York city please go easy on me’ exactly the words that run into my mind when I say New York, the city had that kind of an impression on me. Some of the most romantic sites in the New York City for couples can be found in unexpected places – like way up high on an observation deck – it’s like an affair to remember. For me, New York is not just a destination with the significant other, it is the world and I’ve lived here for a week and have still not been able to get over.

Romance happens just anywhere, but when you’ve got the perfect setting and tunes it is all the more better. These destinations are among the chosen few and they’re always a great idea.
